TelstraJust yesterday we learned that all of the major Australian carriers would be stocking the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 smartphone. Telstra seem to be first out of the block to offer firm pricing and availability details.

The X10 will hit Telstra on Tuesday 4th May and will cost $1,099 sim-free or from $99/month on contract. This will get you the phone for free but with no bundled data options. A bolt-on ‘Browsing Pack’ will cost you $5 for 5MB, $10 for 150MB or $29 for 300MB.

Another plan offers a measly 150MB of data per month and will cost you $110/month plan on a 24-month contract. For those wondering about carrier customisation, Telstra has customised the MediaScape app to include links to tracks and albums on the BigPond Music service.
