Official: Xperia X10 lands on AT&T later this week for $130

Xperia X10 lands on AT&T this week for $130 Whilst the Sony Style website continues to countdown to its reveal later today, other parts of the website have already revealed launch details of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10. Oops. As first rumoured last November, the Xperia X10 will be landing on AT&T on August 15th (this Sunday) for $130 on a two-year contract.

The press release doesn’t definitively say which Android version it will be running, although judging by the pictures nothing suggests it’s running Android 2.1 to my eyes. Hopefully, we’ll get confirmation on this later today. See the full press release below.

Update: The Xperia X10 will launch in the US with Android 1.6. Confirmed.

    WHAT? 8gb internal + 2gb Micro SD?

  2. ??? 8GB on-board memory with 2 gb on top. the phone has 8gb built in?? what the f*ck. we only get 8gb as a memory card.

  3. Nope, it was a typo in the original release. They’ve just changed it and I’ve pasted the revised press release above. The phone is exactly the same as ours.

  4. Wow only 2GB. That sucks. I was impressed with the 8GB I got in the box and now want a 16GB card (or maybe a 32GB) but alas…. they are pricey.

On a side note I tried linking the Xperia X10 to the xbox360 to see if it would access the memory. Nope. 🙁

  5. I think it will come with Android 1,6 beacuse if it would come with 2,1 they would say that it has HD video recording, they wouldnt miss to brag with HD recording or anything that can help better sale!

  6. I paid $99 for my white Xperia from Rogers and it came with a 16gb card already installed in the phone. The agent was also surprised when I opened the box.

  7. I shelled out 79 bucks for my platinum-covered mini pro, and boy was I surprised when I found a sandisc 32gb cart in it. My wife was also. Packaging had “premium user” written on it. Bricked it, though, when I tried to flash a HTC firmware ;(

So now it goes to ebay.

  8. 65K color means, you miss about 15 million 900 thousand colors when you “enjoy” your photos/videos.

  9. the press release also says it takes up to 32gb sd cards… doesnt it?
yet our version still says only up to 16gb??

has anyone put a 32gb card in our version yet? does it work?

  10. @eternity – actually I’m not lucky seems as if Rogers demanded that SE include the 16gb card.

A friend of mine installed a 32gb card and it worked just fine.

  11. thanks kevin.

weird though the press release seems to talk about “expnadble to 32gb” yet the att website says 16 again.
when you think this phone has been around for a while now, neither sony or att seem to be aware of what specs it has. they have had plenty of time to get it right!

as for the 32gb. normally by now youd be able to google and find either good or bad comments on the x10 with a 32gb card, yet i cant find any recent ones, the only one was a bad one from may or something, when the phone was new and the users were new to it.
