Xperia X8 to get some sexy new colours

Xperia X8It looks like the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 will not be restricted to just white and black colours. The company will be releasing three new two-tone colours, all with a dark theme. This includes black/grey, black/blue and black/red. We have no idea if these colour options will be included at launch or at sometime after. For those doubting whether these colours are real, it looks like the black/blue is already up on Google’s phone gallery. Click for some more pictures after the jump. Which is your favourite?

  1. I really like the black/red. Very sexy indeed. But, already have the X10, and I’ll be damned if I’m changing to the X8. Maybe my next upgrade will have better colour options (not to bash the white X10, I really like it too!).

  2. Wer i can find genuine white housing in x10? I dont like the replacement or class a housing… its fade the chrome quikly…

  3. Anyone know if SE has a history of releasing replacement covers for their phones, or will these new colors only be available for those who purchase a new phone? I’m not too fond of white gadgets, and would love to get a black casing for my X8.

  4. can some one plss confirm when will the next 2.1 android platform x8 is coming to market??
if i buy x8 now, can i upgrade it to 2.1 later on??i hope next x8 comes in pure black, blue & black with eclair version..
    waiting for quick reply..
    thanx in advance..:)

  5. My only gripe with the X8 is that the rear cover is really hollow and cheap, and doesn’t fit properly once you’ve removed it a few times to take the battery or simcard, then it creaks every time you handle the phone which drives me insane. REALLY hope that S.E improve the design.

On the flip side I’ve just installed the 2.1 upgrade and it totally transforms the phone!!!

  6. […] Virgin Mobile UK is set to release a limited edition red and black version of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 on January 1st 2011. The phone will be available for free on a £10 a month tariff with 50 minutes, 250 texts and 500MB mobile web, which seems like a great deal, although the contract length wasn’t specified in the press release so we don’t know how long you’d be tied in for. No images of the phone were provided but we imagine it will be similar to this. […]
