Iptable and netfilters on Free X10 Froyo 2.2 Beta 4 ROM

I have the custom rom above. I am trying to get droidwall and wifi tether working but cant. They are both the newest version.

The error I get with droidwall is

Error applying iptables rules. Exit code: 2

and wifi-tether is

No Netfilter! Sorry but your kernel does not have all necessary features for running this application

Any suggestions or are they lost causes?

I have not been able to get droidwall working either for the same reason, as for WiFi tether instead try Barnacle WiFi Tether.

Barnacle seems to work better but I will keep trying on DroidWall and will post any results
