Proposed Wireless Phone-TV

Read about this being proposed with the Q3/Q4 update.
How will this work? I'm guessing I'll need to go buy a bit of kit to enable my TV to receive from the phone???

Probably through DLNA.
Unfortunately your tv has to have DLNA. The other option is a device from htc with hdmi which will attach to the wireless network and then through the phone.
It must be on the market late October, but not sure for that.
The problem is that many phones like nexus one which already have the dlna are very poor on playing movies, only music and pictures.

You have to have a DNLA enabled device. I recently purchased a wireless media player (D-Link DSM 330) from ebay. It is not DLNA enabled, which makes me gutted that a month after SE announced they were adding this feature. I could have purchased a DLNA one instead

I like to use "imediashare" to stream media from my X10 to my tv, there´s skifta and some others, but i never used any of them...
