any1 has an idea why my phone go into flash mode again? i tried to root my phone again after an update.
Tried to search the forum on it. Tried some ways to get it into flash mode but it just wont. Green light goes on. release the back button and phone just starts up.
So is the superoneclick root also ready for the 2.1 update 1 version?
With 2.1 you can turn the phone off to charge it so it should go into flash mode easily unless you have xRecovery installed which changes the phones chargemon file thus preventing it from charging whilst switched off as in 1.6 OS.
i have all the files i need, and i have all the apps i need to do the upgrade. i've also read the instructions about a million times and am still unsure what to do about the flashing. i have the update.zip on my sd card, do i also put the other zip file on my sd card as well or how do i actually flash the .sin files using the flasher. and what do i do with those files once i flash them? my x10 randomly reboots on a daily basis and i understand the update has a fix against that. it's getting really frustrating. i am a noob at this part of the process and any help would be great. thanks guys
thanks jayj, that forum helped quite a bit. i now have 2.0.2.A.0.24 and it's rooted now. quick question, how would i get dual touch on this now? would i have to install a whole different firmware or just an update?
No you don't need to flash the whole firmware, just the DoCoMo kernel. Tutorial here. If your running SE firmware then you need to read this to fully enable dualtouch.
As for FreeX10 Froyo, it is very stable. The only none working is the camcorder and the camera only takes 8mp pictures. Also with the camera you can't activate the LED flash within the camera application, I have a LED widget and use that to activate the LED if I need it to take a picture. The ROM us still only beta so in testing but IMO if you can live with out the camcorder this ROM is p perfectly stable for everyday use.
