BRICKED! Really Bricked!

Postby =NoXiouS= » Sun Mar 04, 2012 11:33 pm

I've bricked my 2nd X-10 (Formerly GF's I dumped her and kept the X10 8-) :lol: )
I'm feelin' super stupid right now :oops: .
Without regard for ANY consequence :roll: ;
I attempted to update my Ex GF's X10 :idea: .
I've bricked the F-ing thing big time! :shock: :twisted:
I used freshly updated pcc. :geek:
Many attempts on SEUS failed too. :ugeek:
Uninstalled all, re-installed, still fkd....
Repair or fresh start and makes no difference. :cry:
Process ALWAYS ends in fail with brick on start.
Sony Ericsson displays several seconds and then
Yellow Brick with broken up triangle and :!: mark

X10_2_Brick.jpg (4.73 KiB) Viewed 21889 times

Been on the thing trying 5 hours now. :?
I've tried flashtool and several roms I downloaded last summer.
Even "Generic" rom that works fine on my own X10 fails. :x
Everytime it goes to end and then fails... :cry: :cry:
Phone support from S.E. FAILED!
I just need it to work.

:idea: :idea: Is there anyway to force install a rom without fail? :?: :?:

Flashtool is normally good for fixing these kind of errors. Have you made sure you remove the battery for around 30 seconds before flashing? Some users report success if they also remove the sim card and memory card (no idea why!)

hi,,,i`ve been using xrecovery to update or downgrade my x10...but this time i downloaded a custom rom whose file name was update.zip so in xrecovery i selected install update.zip from SD card. But when after wiping cache formating...i restarted my cell but it got stuck on SE logo...xrecovery isnt working. I tried to repair using pc companion but it said that "No software available for your phone". My phone is totally dead now. I`ve been repairing my X10 using pc companion bt its not working now. Can I install any rom in flashmode using flashtool?? or by some other method..?? I dont know how to install a custom rom by using flashtool. I just installed xrecovery using this software.!!! for God sake plzz help me...!! Thanx

If you've not yet tried Flashtool before, then I would definitely start there. Over at xda-developers you can find some generic X10 software. It's very easy to flash. I'd suggest to try and get your phone back to stock than going for another custom ROM.

got message on laptop today that I had to restart for pcc to function properly. I restarted and ran pcc repair ten times. no good. I ran SEUS ten times and no go. Then I run flashtool with different roms. I had Firewall and Anti Virus off. Still NO GO :x
This sucks! :x

Not sure what else to suggest. The X10 is normally very hard to brick, so this is a strange one. :?:

I've tried everything from several threads over at xda too. I know it's nit royally hopeless because the phone behaves a bit differently depending on which firmware I flash onto it. When thus is fondly sorted o out, there's one of the devs roms I want to try. Basically makes it an X10S. :?

UPDATE Re: BRICKED! Really Bricked! UPDATE

Postby =NoXiouS= » Tue Sep 18, 2012 4:03 am

:( Sent in for repairs through provider twice.
I can tell by which version of the "Triangle Of Death" appears that the lazy SOB "Techs" :evil: DIDN'T EVEN TRY to flash it!
They just send it back without trying! :twisted:
Now my main X-10 started not connecting to 3G/HSDPA intermittently :!:
I lose voice, text and data when this happens :shock: :o NOT GOOD :(
Because it is intermittent, 2 of 3 network techs say it's my hardware.
I've done full resets and flashing roms, but problem persists.

To Summarize: :arrow:
I now have two X-10's that are both F'd :cry:
Those bastards are forcing me into new hardware.
:roll: :x :?
I've just ordered 32GB Galaxy S3. :mrgreen:
I'm looking for another Android to put on the second line for the remaining year on that line's contract....
I don't have much $$ to spend... :cry:

Oh no - that's a real shame on the X10's.

The GSIII is a more than adequate purchase though - enjoy your new toy! :D
