Postby ghostracer » Sat Aug 06, 2011 6:37 pm

so now most of the generic kits have been updated i was wondering what gb roms ppl are using i know of doomlords prerooted rom and wolfbreaks rom i havent tried either yet ive only just flashed to generic uk myself so i thought if im gonna flash i may as well flash to a good rom. so whats best SE generic, doomlords prerooted, wolfbreaks or any ive missed on my skim through of xda.

Doomlords is just an SE 2.3.3 which is prerooted so will be no different to what you have and you can root 2.3.3 now thanks to aZuZu from XDA.
Wolfbreak's ROM is what I'm using at the moment, it's fast, responsive and I'm happy until the day we get a stable CM7.
Not to say I won't find anything better before a stable CM7 but with the tweaks and improvements it's great and I'm once again a happy X10 owner.

Yeah that is long, mine took about 5-10 minutes on first boot.
The fact you managed to get xRecovery to flash the image must mean your using xRecovery 0.3?
Also as your running 2.3.3 you'll have the baseband and kernel from that but out of interest how did you install TW 2.3.3? Did you revert back to Generic SE 2.1 and rooted, install xRecovery etc or did you root SE 2.3.3 and then install recovery etc?

I just seen a few new Roms for rooted Xperia X10s, some of them mention the Bravia Mobile Engine. Will this enable the x10 to take footage as good as below:

I will be flashing something different soon, 2.3.3 is so damn laggy. Cant even listen music and browse on internet without the music skipping. Some more of these little things that annoy me so damn much!

I couldn't for anything download Titanium on 3.6, just kept saying error!?! No matter how many times I reflashed it?!?
Don't seem to be having any problems with 3.8 atm, although I did have to use Titanium to install my apps as every time I performed an advanced data restore my conversation apk went missing????

Try a fresh flash of 3.8??

It's good, yeah?

As much as I love Z's work I decided against it, I have been looking forward to SE's 2.3.3 and I actually quick like the UI. ;-)

Tried it to, its really damn fast. Got huge quadrant scores. But its just not fit for everyday use imo. No stable wifi is my biggest problem. Shame to see him go tho!
