Well, I'm on Orange UK and I highly doubt they will be releasing the GB update as when I contacted them last week they told me they had no details what so ever about a GingerBread update for the X10.

I flashed to the FW given and then hooked up to PCC and my phone is updating to 3.0.1.G.0.75 as I am typing

Been using the prerooted version since yesterday, it's definitely an improvement over SE 2.1 but a little disappointing after using my girlfriends HTC Sensation running 2.3 with HTC Sense!

From 2.1, it's awesome. Only a couple of things that dont quite stand up to my GF's Arc, but thats just camera etc which the Arc has the better hardware so I knew that was coming.
Been using GB since yesterday evening, had a few random reboots within the first hour, but now all is well.
No cause for complain, everything is working beautifully...

EDIT: Scratch that... My phone is now stuck in a boot loop, trying to sort it out...

I've not think about it. does the update 2.1 was available for generic unbranded and some operators or for all devices?

any issues with that rom i'm considering flashing to the pre rooted rom so if O2 do decide to release i can flash back to that. Is it the SE GB just pre rooted or are there any additional features other than root

Hi xxxxxxx, we will be releasing the Gingerbread update and it's coming very soon. Keep an eye on PC companion for updates.

no idea when very soon is but hopefully no more than a week

Orange UK have confirmed today via OrangeHelpers on twitter that they are working on the GB update but cant confirm a release date.

Yeah for sure,but apps like advenced task killer or android booster will not work very good

You shouldn't use task killers anyway, android does a very good job of managing itself and isn't like windows were RAM has to free!
