hi, i m a new user of Xperia X10, i am worried how to insert the contact as a recepient while doing a sms. Usually we cannot remember the numbers of contacts which is the only way i found while on sms menu, and in other phones we can directly insert the contact to whom we have to sent the message in SMS menu.

Instead of inputting their number, input their name. A pop up will appear below the box with numbers and names matching the letters you've typed.

you can also use handcent sms where u can select the contact via the list within the app, and also select multiple contacts

When composing a text using the standard keypad, double tapping spacebar adds in a full stop and a space at the end of your line of text.

Hi,

Just posted these as a responce on a battery thread and thought these might be usefull :D

The 3rd trick I think we all know about so sorry for reposting..............

1. The Blue tack trick.

I noticed at first that the phone wouldn't charge uneless in a certain position, I then took off the battery cover to notice a small amount of play where the battery was, silding up and down and loosing contact with the charging pins. I therefore have wedged some blue tack there and now it charges fine (Similar problem I had with my 5530!)

2 Charge, unplug and restart

I don't know whether I picked this tip up on this forum or a comment somewhere. But I've noticed you get a bit more juice if you restart the phone after its fully charged...So Charge, Unplug and restart.

3 Auto brightness / Advanced Task manager.

Know I know the Auto brightness feature can get annoying at times, but overral it saves a ton of batterylife ! Also, Advanced task manager in the Android Market is a good task Manager I like as I only have 2 widgets I need running before putting the phone to sleep. So Icon on the Homescreen, launch, kill selected apps...Continue on working or lock the screen....and all that takes about 2seconds :D
Symbian Os Should die a painful death.....
