Why is my copilot hanging up on the startup page or sometimes starts to sturtup page and shuts down right away.
I have been fiddling with it for the last couple of weeks.
I downloaded, installed, uninstalled redownloaded and so on... nothing seems to fix the freezing.

The first day I installed it it worked for a few minutes than it stoped and I cannot seem to be able to use it since.

Any help would be great.

do you use task killers app? :)

I tried CoPilot in CAnada/North America and its not good. There are hardly any POI's and the interface is ok but no better then MotoNav.

MotoNav is based on iGO but is formatted for the X10 resolution. I find the interface nice and a LOT of POI with good maps. (it is a little more laggy then CoPilot but I can live with that for the extra POI)

I am a little suss on the source of this barcode linked app. Normally i would not be but since this: http://www.gizmodo.com.au/2010/08/first ... -the-wild/ came out, i'm very cautious when installing an app that wants to be able to make calls and send SMS....

How sure can we be that this is safe?

I have this same exact problem. What does using a task killer have to do with it? and how do I fix it? thanks!

Has anyone been able to get the linked to Copilot8 working under 2.1?

I installed it on mine and it gets to the red screen unpacking files and then just closes....

*Edit: Not using a task killer....

I did reboot, yes. Odd thing is, i just tried it again and it works!!! bizarre....

Edit - but now it asks for a product key that it never did before?

Edit2 - Read somehwere about someone else with the same problem with serial. Found that if i copied the copilot folder from my old SD card (changed to a bigger one when i upgraded to 2.1) over the new one, it was good again!

Grr, now it gets to 'Unpacking' but never completes. Then if i close the app and go back in it says it could not delete a file and to re-install. If i power off the phone and back on, then it just force closes.... sigh. Might try putting my other SD card back in and see if it works.

Ok, so it looks like i finally have it sorted but here's the go - It would just simply refuse to load properly when i used my 32gb SD, but when i put my original 8gb one back in, it worked fine.

I'll admit, the 32gb is an ebay cheapie but it checked out ok.

Conclusion - Either Copilot or the phone do not properly support 32gb cards or it's a dodgey card (although copying and verifing the data from the 8 to the 32, it still did not work).
