GPS applications

Postby ThomasFun » Fri May 14, 2010 8:07 am

I'm using NDrive navigation, everything seems to work correctly expect graphic design. NDrive is most probably not supporting X10 system resolution and application doesn't look very nice.

Maybe I'm going mad? Just searched for CoPilot Live in Marketplace and it wants to charge me £23 for CoPilot Live UK&Ireland? Where's the free one?

I had CoPilot pre-installed on my X10i when I got it, had a 30 day trial but then it would have cost to use.
I uninstalled it once the 30 days were up!
Google navigation should be on any phone with google maps and it's free. Look in your app tray for a blue arrow pointing up.

Yup, got the Google one. Works OK until the screen goes to sleep, normally just as you need to see a turn! I did have a free 30 day one (cant remember the make now) but never used it. TBH I have satnav in the car, so this is just a backup, so not too bothered about a pay for one. The Google one is fine for the odd time I need it.

If you want to get free CoPilot Live you have to go in Marketplace and download and install Bar code Scanner then use that program to capture the Bar code image zleepy posted at the top then you be able to download free CoPilet :D .

CoPilet is AWESOME!!

Has anybody found that when using copilot the battery keeps draining even if connected to a car charger? Or is there a better car charger that won't allow that to happen? Thanks

I've downloaded both Navigon and CoPilot and the CoPilot seems to be the one I prefer BUT it doesn't have a map of Iceland avaiable. Neither do any of the other programs that I've tried. The only one that seems to be working for me is Wisepilot but I only had a 30 day trial version of that and I tend to think that the annual fee is a bit steep considering it is an application for a phone. plus, wisepilot needs to be connected to GPRS/EDGE in order to display routes and roads . . .

Do any of you know if there is a map of Iceland available for either Navigon or CoPilot?
