Hey guys,
Last time I had a problem you guys were of great help so hopefully it'll be the same this time I've made a quick search and couldn't find the answers... sorry if this turns out to be a double post. I run the latest 2.3.3 stock update.
- First issue: Google Maps updates itself every time I turn my 3G on and go in the market. I went though the Maps' options, couldn't find anything to stop it. Went through the market options as well, and could only find notification options. Went through the phone's general options for applications, no luck there neither. I don't use my 3G that often, but with a 500mb limit, it's really annoying to see 8-10mb downloading every 2 days for google maps. Same issue with the Rogers Account app but that's a few kb so I don't really care. I tried "droidwall" but that didn't seem to work.
- Second issue: Facebook. I've installed everything from scratch - 2.3.3 and then all my apps again, including facebook. Then I started having this annoying reminder to sync my phone contacts with my facebook contacts, which I don't want to... so I disabled the sync. But the reminder kept popping all the time so I decided to erase the whole facebook app and use the browser (dolphin) whenever I wanna check it out. But... surprise ! Once installed, you can't erase it. So I'm wondering if there's a way of doing that without having to hack the phone or whatnot.
Thanks in advance
