Several times when I have answered upcoming calls, I have accidentally pressed the icon with my face or ear to turn on the loud-speaker. It's really embarrasing when everyone around me hear what my friend says before I hurry to switch back to normal mode! Is there anything to help with this issue?
I guess either you proximity sensor doesn't work properly or you aren't holding your phone properly, which will invoke the proximity sensor.
For the first one, you can try to do a firmware repair to see whether it's a software problem, if not then the only choice is to bring the phone to a service center for repairs.
For the second one, I don't know what to say !!

Thanks for the advice. The screen does go black and locked when I've put it near my ear but just sometimes too late; I have already pushed something. But I installed an app called myLock phone tools beta, which locks the screen after it has gone black when answering calls. I'll see if this helps.
