ADW Launcher app dock bar

Postby JayJ » Wed Aug 04, 2010 4:36 pm

I have ADW Launcher on my X10i and I love it, a fantastic home screen and far better than the SonyEricsson one pre installed on the phone.

I've checked the website but I can't find any instructions about the settings, I've sussed most of it but there are some settings I am unsure about. I'm specifically interested in the UI Settings and the option of "Dockbar" and how to use it?
I read somewhere something about holding the app tray button and sliding it up but this does nothing other than remove the app tray key and the LAB & RAB keys and then I don't know how to get it back unless I switch off and back on the phone?

Hope somebody can help me out here, thanks!

That's correct. The dockbar starts off empty (so it just looks like nothing's there). You can drag app icons onto it. To close it, grab the dockbar and drag it down.

Personally, I don't use it and so I turned it off completely. Instead, I've enabled the Secondary ActionButtons so I can have 4 apps in the tray. You have to disable Desktop Dots in order to enable Secondary ActionButtons.

Yeah I have the RAB & LAB keys active and the secondary's too but when I move the the app draw key up it disappears and I can't move it back down, do I have to have the LAB & RAB keys unselected to use the dockbar?

It's hard to drag it down when it's empty. Just drag an icon into it and then try it. Like I said, I don't use it.

Thanks for the help, I got it sorted now. I've bound the home key to open and close the dockbar.
