Lol - Too caustious!!
I was the same but then thought, what the hell and gave it a go...
Never had a problem with any apps/games that I have downloaded!

Well there's also the problem of apps that are not free and we can't buy them because our market isn't supported. Actually it's like torrents but without sharing, just download.

On the other hand this is like copying movies/DVD's etc.
If we don't support dev's that produce top notch apps then we are going to be the first to complain when there aren't new apps or updates of apps we love on the market.
Most paid apps offer a lite or add version to test and then if you do pay for an app and don't like it you have 24hrs to uninstall & refund.
Also with the exception of a few most apps are reasonably priced

I'll continue to pay for my apps and support devs, nothing in life is free!

Use it all the time and never had a problem, apart from the odd app that it tells me can't be installed on my device, guess that just because they aren't compatible with the X10.

Another great site is www.getandroidstuff.com loads of free gems on there as I'm sure I've mentioned before... All free too!

I've had no luck on getting apitode to work for me, but have had plenty of success getting apps from websites linking to repositories using my phone......

I found Aptoide pretty buggy and didn't work too well, have you tried using APKtor? thats free from the AM and put the repo addresses into that, still going strong on my X10i

So, we're getting more into the opensource way ... Aaaaaaaall right :D I'd just hope that they stop copying apps and start to create alternatives.

Thanks for the repos! I'll try this. And I'll try free apps that I didn't find in the Android Market.
I've using Linux over 6 years by now, but I never image before that I could have its power on my hand. Android made that possible.

Further to my last post, extra repos working well.
Blackdroid is still down for some reason but the apps are still showing.
APKtor has jumped from approx' 1300 available apps to 2300 apps.

Downloaded and installed a few games and other apps and all are working fine!
