So I'm planning to get this watch because it looks good and has some cool functionalities. To get it working you'll have to download openwatch. I've done some research on the internet but I couldn't find if you're able to control music with the watch on the X10. Does anyone have experience with the combination of the MBW-150 and the X10?
I have no experience of the SE Bluetooth watches however I think you can control music with the MBW-150 but the watch is very limited in it's function and whether it will fully work with the X10 I'm unsure of, the display is very small. The watch only gives notification of events ie email, sms, gmail, twitter etc so unless your going to be picking it up real cheap I'd avoid it and maybe think about a Sony Ericsson Liveview at a third of the MBW's retail price with far more functionality. The Liveview has dual functionality meaning it can interact with your phone whereas the MBW can only notify you of an event at three times the price.
Well the thing is, I was interested in te LiveView untill I read some not so positive reviews. The thing that concerned me the most was the battery life. Most reviewers say that when the device is used like a watch, it wouldn't last the day. And the connection issues are also a let down. On top of that, I've read that the device won't be updated, so you'll have to do with whatever you get.
That's why my interest shifted to the MWB-150, which is even more like a watch. And the basic functionality i'm looking for is that I'm able to skip tracks and adjust volume. But do you have a LiveView? If yes, what's your opinion about it and would you recommend it?
Yeah I read the reviews myself as I was also intrested in the Liveview, don't have one yet but I do intend on getting one at some point. Unless I get one for Crimbo, gf knows I want one so maybe. The MBW-150 is a reasonably nice looking watch but the price is just ridiculous for the little amount of interaction between the two devices, just doesn't justify the cost of the product IMO.
If I do get a Liveview I'll let you know what I think and how accurate the reviews are.
EDIT- The guy in the thread below this one has a Liveview so ask him his impressions
