I can`t really understand anything of this volume issue you guys experience.

The headphones bundled with this phone are superior to the iPod/iPhone headset and the call volume and the ringtone volume can be turned up way beyond whats needed.
I easily use my phone as a musicplayer when I use my chainsaw...

Are you guys sure you have listened to your iPod at a reasonable volume? becouse it`s really easy to damage your ears when listening to music through earphones...

...And no one will ever use the internal speaker to listening to music, it`s just a pain no matter phone brand...

It's about the Loudspeaker volume , not the Headset volume. The Loud Speaker is low , so quite often we miss our calls because we couldn't hear the phone is ringing.

Also I don't think that the Headset is superior.Actually it's inferior to me.So, i have bought a MW600 Bluetooth/FM Set & it does have good quality Headsets.

But when we are at home , we don't use Headsets to receive a call ( at least not me ) .So, we need a bit louder Loudspeaker.Phones are not only for listening music.I think most of us need to use it as receiving/making calls too.

I have no issue with the internal speaker on my phone, it`s way to loud if I set the volume to max and can easily hear it even when it`s a bit noisy around me (could this be some modification done to the phones on the american marked due to some regulations? my phone is bought in Norway).

My X10 came bundled with the BT handsfree (MW600) an its headset, that`s probably the reason why I think the headset is superior to what else rubbish you get with other phones and mp3 players (except the walkman series to SE).
I can`t remember last time I used one of those standard rubbish headset that is the most common headset to be bundled with phones and mp3 players, the volume is one thing with this type of headset but the soundquality is far away from satisfying.

Oops you got MW600 with the phone ? Why the heck they are not doing it for every region ? Why some people get it for free & others will have to buy it separately in spite the fact that i paid more than $700 for it ? Not at all fair.

Yeah MW600 headphones are far better than the bundled shit with the phone. But still as both the phone & the Headset has a 3.5 Jack , so we can use the world's best headphone with our phones.I was thinking about buying a Sehnheiser In-Ear Type Headphone to use with the X10.Anyone have any idea about will that be good ? :)

When I was first considering getting the X10i and was doing a little research I watched a couple of videos on YouTube, one was an X10i being unpacked in Germany and another in some other European country. In both the videos the X10's being unpacked included 2 replacement screen protectors and an SE leather pouch, when I got mine it came with no extra content. 1x phone, 1x battery, 1x rear cover, 1x remote corded in-ear handsfree and very short instruction manual.
I though I had missed out so I emailed SE, their reply basically said that contents of the box are region and service provider specific and my region and service provider obviously included no extra content.
As with regards to the MW600, I have found it to be overrated at best. The volume is not very loud at all even when upgrading the headphones to Sony MDR-EX082 and using the first half of the included headset (from the handset to mic) and plugging in my MDR-EX082 earphones the volume is far superior top the MW600 BT headset.
I still say the better earphones in the MW600 do make a small difference to the sound quality but not very much.
In all I am very disappointed with the MW600, especially when I had to pay extra and others got it included in with their handsets.

Hi guys...i see a lotta ppl complaining abt X10's music quality....try this... it really works...and the loudness and clarity is as good as ipod..

Steps:
1.) Install the music player "Mix Zing" it comes with an inbuilt Graphic Equalizer...Adjust the EQ per your taste..This player does make a difference even with the SE headset included in the pack..

2.) To improvise the music loudness, i currently use the MW 600 (bluetooth headset), however, i've just kept aside the headset that comes with MW 600 box, and have replaced the same with apple's standard head phones...

This works amazing....also note that, the apple headset won't work perfectly, if you use it directly in the 3.5mm jack...but its amazing to use the same with MW 600....

The music quality is loud and clear and as good as an ipod....

Trust this helps!!!

I'm concerned about the X10's LoudSpeaker volume , not the headset volume.I rarely use my MW600 to receive & make calls as MW600 doesn't display caller's name & also not the Track name & i use the Phone most of the time & i can't hear the phone ringing most of the time. ;)
