in a bit of a pickle here, need some advice/help

does anyone have a 32gb memory card working in a X10 mini

I resently bought a 32gb card, and the phone formatted it and registered the card as being 32gb, however the card flipped out everytime it was loaded/used. Thinking it was the phone, I tried it in my wifes Samsung Galaxy and it to failed in there too. upon checking the seller of the card, they were cheap because the card was infact faulty, and I promptly complained and got a full refund,

So now I'm between a rock and a hard place, ie the phone worked (well detected it was 32gb) and the card was certainly at fault? so I still don't know if the mini can take and use a 32 gb card, Sony say 16GB is max for the Mini, 32GB for the pro, but is that just hype,to make you buy a pro over mini, and are the guts, software, actually the same?

So before plumbing to buy another (better brand) card, can anyone confirm they have a 32 gb working well in a mini, ie I'm happy to invest in a more costly branded card if it will work (ie the extra space mean I can access to more music, and I want to start taking more pictures on the phone too,
