Is it me, or is the blog becoming an irritating mess of "first", "second", "third" and all the bullshit?

I have a suggestion. Would it be possible for users to have a forum account before allowed to post on the blog? Meaning, link the blog and forum together... somehow. I know the forum software would be changed soon, would this incorporate this feature (?? is it even a feature? )

The blog can be moderated manually, but doing this would force the retards to register first before posting (and phpBB can do ip ban right?). Or an antispam script?

Not only you, I believe everyone is annoyed with those kind of comments!

But I'm not sure how practical is your suggestion, to register the user in forum before they can post something in the blog, because some users who are genuine would be just browsing by and would like to post some comments on some article. Asking them to go through the registration process would only make then drive away from the blog, because most of those users would prefer a quick comment down there rather then the hassle of registration and stuffs like that.
