SD Card Not Working

Hi all
new to the site as just got an X10i today and for some reason it wont recognise the sd card just dont pick it up at all, any ideas

Try formatting the SD Card in the phone, be sure to save any data you may have on the card because formatting it will wipe all data.

its no good mate it wont register its in the phone for me to format it, its just saying sd card not present

Try this, download this PC application called mini Partition Tool from
here. Install it onto your PC and run, it's a patition tool so plug your Micro SD Card directly into your PC and find it in MPT.
Now format the SD Card FAT32, make sure you select the SD Card and NOT your PC's C: drive or Recovery drive!!
Again any saved data will be wiped from the card so back it up first!! Good luck!

still no good mate cus its saying no sd card it wont even show up on my laptop, i give up lol

Where did you get the SD Card??
The only other thing I can think of is the SD Card is faulty or corrupt?
You said you formatted it in your PC??

Hello, I've been having the same issue... and tried what you've suggested.. but no luck
Any other suggestions ?

Sorry mate but the above has failed then I think your only option is another SD card?
Do you have another you could just try before paying out for one, if the phone won't read another then it could be a phone hardware or software problem. If this is the case then first try a software repair via SEUS or PC Companion and if that still doesn't fix the problem I'd hazard a guess it's hardware and will need repair by a tech.
