if your still using the show dbm setting then try turning that off and using the standard bars see what it shows, if worst comes to worst just reflash everything to se rom and then back to froyo. i mean to be honest im using the new baseband and not having any signal problems at all, if i have 3g activated the signal goes randomly but in areas i know that has bad signal, in the good areas itll rarely happen.

In short yes, to install this ROM you'll need to install xRecovery and with xRecovery you do nandroid back ups.
A nandroid back up, backs up the whole of your system including data, contacts, sms, apps etc. Basically if you do a nandroid back up then flash Froyo, change your mind and want to go back you just restore the back up and your phone will be exactly as it was when you backed it up.

Hi guys,

So yesterday i decided to install the free zdzihu beta 4.
Im really enjoying it. its really great when you compare it to 2.1 imo.

been following this thread for a while now and just desided to go for it.
the only thing i find annoying is the fact that my wifi fails alot. got a connection for 2/3 minutes and then it just fails again.
got to connect to it manually alot but if thats the only thing for now im happy!

First have you checked the Wi-Fi sleep policy?
By default it's set to screen off which means every time your screen goes out it drops the Wi-Fi, from the homescreen-

Menu> Settings> Wireless & networks> Wi-Fi settings> Menu> Advanced> Wi-Fi sleep policy.......

Also Blade Wi-Fi Fix from the android market might help.

NP mate!

More camera options with Vignette (paid), video (albeit poor quality) with Video Cam Illusion.
Use Titanium to uninstall News and weather app (battery/data hog).
With Quadrant, run a few times to get better score, should be around 1200-1300 or more.

CM settings here, install with xRecovery. Also included are the file to uninstall CM setting if you don't like them, why you wouldn't I don't know. :-D

Does Vignette allow you to use the camera fully with zoom and so on?

My hands are burning right now for trying a ROM, now with the camera working I think I might try one :D

Only few issues to be fixed and we will enjoying Froyo or Gingerbread on our X10.

Camcorder fix/hack now available!

Wolfbreak from XDA has released a camcorder fix for all X10i Froyo based ROM's, it's not native camcorder so unfortunately Barcode Scanner and other apps that use the Camcorder still do not work but a fix none the less.

All credit goes to Wolfbreak, bojojo2020 and Jerpelea. X10 development gods to us mere mortals.

This has been available for a few days now but I've been messing around with Jerpelea's FreeX10 Cyanogen Mod 7 RC2 v0009.

Ive tried the cam fix, works like a charm.
Tho, theres 1 thing ive found very annoying is that the touch sometimes doesnt work in apps. Just cant type a message sometimes or wont scroll trough the menu.
Someone having the same problem or is it just my phone?
After rebooting its all fine again tho.
