How do I upgrade from 1.6 to 2.2 plz help anyone ?

I want to upgrade from 1.6 to 2.2 and wondering if some kind hearted experienced user could tell me briefly what steps to take roughly and in which order.Any help would be greatly appreciated as new to modding phones etc my bb is 1.1.25 bn R2BA020 thanx 2 U.

go to xda, and find the 2.2 rom you like. personally, i'd recommend freex10 2.2.1, by zdzihu (fantastic battery life, if set up properly. lost 1% during the 8hours i was sleeping. and almost everything works), or you can try another rom, that is based on freex10 2.2.1, wolfbreak's rom. it's customised with cyanogen mod, and other stuff.
