Just donwloaded ADW launcher and love how simple and clean your able to make the desktop and app list etc. ONE thing I really want to do is change the notification bar appearance from the blue stock, not sure whether I have to use a app like ninjamorph to re-write files - which seems a bit beyond me, or is there a theme I can apply to ADW which will give me basic options to change the bar?

ADW themes only theme the ADW Launcher not the phone and the statusbar is part of the phone not the launcher.

Are e talking X10i here or a Mini/Pro?

Yeah JayJ thats what i was thinking about the statusbar. i HAVE A X10i, firmware 2.1 update,baseband 2.1.54. I have tried the root/busybox/ninjamorph approach and it bricks my phone every time changing the .png files for the status bar. Any simple ways to change the status bar without changing the actual image files would be greatly appreciated,,,,my end goal is basically everything black and white and i'm 90% of the way there.

Any advise on this? strting to get sick of bricking my phone

Cheers for the suggestion,,,,Tht thread on the XDA forums is what I have been TRYING to use, The articles there are about as clear as mud. Guess i'll jus leave it till this site writes the step by step guide as stated a few month back
