Postby buddy1983 » Wed Aug 25, 2010 2:13 pm

Hi Guys

How the F@:K do you zoom on the x10 mini Pro when using the camera? It doesn't seem to have it and we have tried everyting (even the slide out keyboard)>
also how do you choose B&w or Sepia?
There are basic functions that even a £20 camera phone have.
PLease help :(

It is called a smartphone not a camera.
So I guess it is stupid to think that a phone is a camera ;)

disagree there. My smart phone can zoom. Don't think it would've taken much to add this as you can buy apps that "fix" this mistake.

Just another example of simple things missing from this phone. :D

yeah I thought this was a rather missed feature .....I had it on Sony Ericsson phones of 5 years ago , so why drop it ......

Has anyone tried the apps :

10x zoom camera , by Neilandthereasa

or Pro Zoom camera 5x

And if so could you let us know how they work with the mini pro?

Thanks

I do not think anything is "missing" on this phone.
The fact that your phone can zoom does not say that this phone should also.
The fact that a Mercedes can drive 120mph does not say that a small Fiat should also.

This phone is put on the market as a more "simple" smartphone with not all the features that the bigger X10 has.
And that is exactly what I need and I really do not miss a zoom function at all.
I can zoom afterwards on my PC if I want that.
And fwiw I doubt that your phone has an optical zoom.
And digital zoom is rubbish anyway

the fact of the matter is not whether we "need" or "use" a digital zoom... that's just a stupid argument... when one buys a SE phone with has a 5mp camera, i think its safe to assume that there is zoom... and no filters as well...? wtf... this camera is practically useless if u've been used to ur cybershot phones which has so many options.

I agree completely. These are basic functions of a phone camera high, mid or low end of the market.
Needs adding in a firmware update if you ask me.

have you guys tried the app Vignette?

I downloaded it the other day and I still haven't played with all of it's filters yet...

http://neilandtheresa.co.uk/Android/Vig ... 0features/ is a list of features/filters it comes with. =]
