Cannot sync with SE

My Xperia pro mini cannot sync with SE & even tho I have turned it off in settings it keeps trying to, which means I keep getting notifications that I dont want, Help please!!!

I saw a message this morning from Sony Ericsson saying that their servers were down for maintenance and that they should be back by 7th July. Hope that explains it - I had the same thing happen to me.
