Sony may release a PS3 app on the Xperia X10 handset, similar to the one currently only available on the Aino. “It makes a lot of sense for it to be on other handsets”, said Christopher David, head of developer and partner engagement at Sony Ericsson. “It should be expected,” he went on to say.

The idea would be that Xperia X10 owners could access their PlayStation 3 and stream content to their phone. Other apps on the agenda could include a PlayNow store, PSP emulator and PS3 Remote Play. The Xperia X10 would be well suited to this sporting a 4-inch screen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor and DLNA/wireless connectivity.
