The bootloader of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 has finally been unlocked by the crew over at xda-developers. It was unlocked by using a bug in the Qualcomm security encryption.
the_laser revealed the encryption key (thanks to “maxrfon”) which means they can now directly access the bootloader without having to try and bypass it. the_laser is also saying that he will provide a way for users to sim-unlock their phones for free given this latest development. Hopefully, it won’t take too long for the devs to provide a bootloader unlock for everyone to download.
