sd card problems after software update

Hi require assistant uegently..i recently updated my software on my X10..problem i have is my phone wont recognise my sd card..i have restarted my phone unplugged n pluggd bk my sd card to no avail..even when i try accessing it on my pc it doesnt recognise it it sez sd card not inserted or unavailable.i treied putting a different sd card n it worked..bt my sd wont..help

same problem here as well after an update. A card reader on my pc recognizes my memory card but phone just says no memory card detected.
any help would be appreciated people!!

Firstly I'd advise if your PC detects your SD Card back it up via your PC, the only way I can suggest to fix this is to reformat the SD Card.

Menu> Settings> Storage.....

If the SD Card is mounted then tap Unmount SD Card and below that you'll see Format SD card, if the SD card is mounted this will be dull and not usable hence the unmount first. With the SD card unmounted Format SD card should now be highlighted and useable so now tap it, the phone should forget the SD card and the phone should then detect it??

I cannot guarantee this will work with the phone not recognizing the SD card but give it a try first, let me know how you get on guys and if it doesn't work we'll try something else.

PLEASE REMEMBER REFORMATTING THE SD CARD WILL WIPE ANY AND ALL DATA STORED ON IT SO IF YOU CAN PLEASE BACK UP FIRST ON YOUR PC.
