Forward Recieved Text, Send Business Card

Postby eacbay » Tue Apr 06, 2010 12:20 am

I have just received my Xperia X10 which I am "Stuck With" having returned the 3 "awful audio" Nokia X6.
Visually it is very appealing but it has to be said I have never read an instruction manual for a phone as
much as I have the downloaded PDF for the X10.

As yet I am still unable to do the following which I could on all previous phones.

Cannot send a contact as a business card. The X10 wants to forward my own number and only to bluetooth Devices.
Cannot forward a received sms ( so much for jokes doing the rounds ).
Still have not managed to transfer the few sms messages I need to keep from the N95 format (.VMG) to the X10 format which
appears to be a .db file.
Where is the "Standard" add recipient facility when sending a message to multiple recipients by ticking a check box ?

Looks like my old N95 (8GB), may not be retired just yet.

The flashy bits looks very nice but first impressions are that the basics are a bit lacking.

Right,

I have not been able to forward a business card either. I don't know if this has something to do with the X10's integration of information?

You can forward an SMS from the Messaging view by tapping and holding the message you want to forward. The X10 will then give you a heap of options, one of which is forwarding.

You can add additional recipients by tapping the "To" field at the top of the Messaging dialogue. I find it tricky because you need to add a name in the empty space android gives you, but I've managed this. As long as you can get the cursor in that box, you can add recipients.

2 down, 2 to go.
