LCD broken or not :(

My phone was working fine until this morning. I was trying to open some application just then the phone sort of freezed (which it always does once in a while). I thought that if I switch my cell off and try to switch it on later it might do the trick, but this time it apparently didn't.
When I pressed the power button the screen would brighten up but won't show anything. Sometimes I could see a hint of line when I press the power button. I did like to know whether the LCD is broken or not?

This phone has been trouble from the time I've had it bought :/ Freezes out on me all the time and now THIS!!

Oh and yeah the phone is charging just fine, and I even heard the warning sound which always comes when the battery is low.

My phone started working again this morning but the battery was pretty low, so I plugged it for charging and now it has stopped working again :/
Whenever I press the power button only the red light blinks thrice :/

If its still in warranty. The best you can do is return the phone to be replaced by a new one. Maybe the phone you got has some issues on it's hardware or wirings.
