Loss of function to buttons on front and side

Hi all. My X10 developed a strange issue this weekend. The buttons on the bottom and side of the unit stoppped working. This means I cannot return "home" or utilise the "back" button rendering the phone pretty much useless. The camera and volume buttons also seem disabled. If I switch the phone off and restart I get full use for 2 minutes then all buttons are disabled. I have done the usual software reset and upgrades but nothing resolves the problem. Having researched this issue I have found a number of people who have had this problem and its seems common. Anyone out there get this fixed???

Doubt there will be a fix as it sounds like a hardware issue, can you not return the phone under warranty to the point of sale or a carrier/provider?

Cheers Jay. I sent it off to SE UK yesterday. I purchased it from a private sale and will have to hope the " non transerable warranty " issue is not raised. I will post the result as I have a feeling this issue is a weak build factor that seems to come up with quite a few X10's.

Full thumbs up for SBE Ltd. Phone returned in 7 working days. all functions restored. They claim a hard reset and full reinstall rectified the issue.
