X10 Sound very tinny..

Hi All,

Hope some of you have come across this before and have a resolve..

The other day my X10 (running Android 2.1) was working great then all of a suddern the sound when making a call became very tinny. If i put it on speaker it ok, likewise if I play music it's fine. A call is also ok when I have the headphones in.

if any one can help or point me in the right direction I would be greatly appreciated....

just did a test on the earphone using the following:

From the lock screen, don't swype to unlock but press

Menu Back Back Menu Back Menu Menu Back

Which takes you to a service menu, from there I tested the earphone and it still sounds crap.....

Dsp manager doesnt really make much difference for calls IMO.

About once or twice a month I experience a very tinny sound on all speakers and bluetooth. I attribute it to fringe frequencies on crowded towers. :geek:

Couldn't find this "Dsp manager" in market.

All I found were two pay apps :cry:

I'll google it myself... :lol:

Can't sort this problem out, I have quite a lot of interference as well as low volume on calls, has anyone got anymore ideas.
I am running Android 2.3.3
