Sorry! Activity Camera (in application Camera) is not respon

I just bought the X10 and when starting the camera from either holding the shutter button or choosing camera from the apps menu I get the same error message:-
"Sorry! Activity Camera (in application Camera) is not responding"

The only options are Force Close and Wait.

I have used SONY ERICSSON UPDATE SERVICE (SEUS) as well as nSONY ERICSSON PC COMPANION and the issue is still present.

any idea? hardware is mess up?

I believe you are using Stock Android 2.1.

I still believe it could be a software glitch rather than hardware, but to make sure of that, try downloading third-party camera application like vignette from the android market and give a try. If that one also produces similar error, it could be an hardware issue, if that one does work, then try repairing your firmware using SEUS again.
