Themes...

Does anyone know if we are able to set custom Themes on the X10 now we have 2.1?

Have you seen my screen shots in the thread "Post your phones desktop picture!!" in the General subforum, I've themed my X10i with themes created my some clever folk on XDA.

I'll post more here later.

You'll need a rooted phone to install these though.

I haven't been brave enough to root my phone, I don't really have need to and don't really trust myself not to bugger it up once its rooted. I can't help but tinker with stuff and knowing me I'll go deleted or moving things I shouldn't. :*)

just repair the firmware if you mess something up. no biggie. you're missing out alot on a non-root

Root it mate, your missing so much!
I too can't stop myself from tinkering with my phone hence I've bricked it 6 times in just over a week but I just reflashed the sw with SEUS.
There's not allot you can do that isn't recoverable with a reflash so do it mate!

How do you know if you're X10 is 2.0 or 2.1 or anything else ? and so what must i do to update to 2.0 ?

From home screen press Menu, Settings, About Phone and check Firmware Version and Build Number...

To update either download and run SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) or again from home screen on phone press Menu, Settings, About Phone, Software Update and Update Now to search for any available updates, you dont nessecarily have to update that way but it's the quickest way to check for updates...
