Anyone with car charger

Hello people, i need to know the output voltage and current from the original Car battery charger.
The thing is that i already have a mini usb car charger, and i see that it is 5 volts and 850 mAh, but the home charger is 700 mAh, so i'm afraid using it.

No problem if the mAh is more than 700... More mAh, shorter should be the time of charge. Beware than the voltage shouldn't be more of 5-6V, but this is all.

I've have problems with the "NON-NATIVES" USB chargers for X10. This device needs that the data cable (the 2 center PINs) should be connected.. or something like that... If finded this info in another forum... I'll try to put here the link...

i dont see the point of use:ing anything else but SE charger...
it cost nothing if you compare to the phone and is built for the X10 and charge the
device properly and right, with the right specs of power

Yes, I agree with that... But, if you have at home another Micro USB car charger... Why not try to use it? The cost is 0$

The only reason i don't have original charger is that here where i live, when something new like Xperia appears on the market, no one even bothers to import quality accessories.
Everything here is Chinese, just because it cost less than a pound.

I really want original one, but even on e-bay they is no trace of them.

I have an x10i from Optus Australia. No car charger came with it. I had just purchased a good brand name one while in the states (has a USB port to work with most USB chargable items.) it is 5-6v and 750 ma. It doesn't work with my x10i.

No, the car charger is sold sepretly..

if i was you i would buy an original SE carcharger, and AN-300, that's the best thing you can charge your
phone with, and you will be sure that it gets the right amp's and voltage...

anything other would be stupid, cause it could deliver higher power/amps and fry it...

Strange update to this. Since I updated to 2.1 Global, My car USB charger suddenly started to work. I knew they added charging the phone while it is powered off, but they must have changed some other power things as well.

Yes the firmware upgrade did allow the chargers to work. When you were on 1.6 pin 2 & 3 needed to be shorted for it to work. Much like the usb charger for the iphones. after the 2.1 upgrade the shorted pins are no longer needed.

I ordered spare batteries & wall charger and car windshield mount with car charger all cheap off ebay back in September while I was still on 1.6. All worked just fine and still do. Shops in my city want $60 each for batteries or car charger. Windshield mount retails for $40! I got ALL for under $20 total off ebay. Yes it is cheap stuff from China, but it works and I keep more money in my own pocket too

i tried until now 3 car chargers,2 with 5V 500mA,one with 5V 700 mA.al of them are wrong,they are charging but not enough,after 3-4 hours of gps and bluetooth use the phone was discharged,even he is showing charging from car charger.i think the current is not enough,maybe a 1A 5V will do.but to be shure i will buy the original AN300 charger from sony I am tired to try al the china crap.they show on the label 500mA but it's a joke.

3-4 hours gps? Gps is huge battery drain and I never use that long even when plugged in and spending 13+ hours/day in car. Nothing charges as well as factory wall charger for me.
