App Store Filter Wrong on a custom ROM

I put a custom ROM on my phone a while back, upgrading to 2.1

My issue is that when I go to download certain apps (like google reader for example) they do not show up, and if I go online, it says on the website that my phone is not compatible.

Is there an easy fix for this to get the content filter corrected, or would I just be better just loading a new ROM (going to wait for Sony Erricson to come out with the 2.3.3 if that is the case)

What Rom have you used? I have the SE 2.1 Rom from xda forum as orange still hasn't released the dual touch update and I can see Google reader on the market.

Of course now I feel real stupid....
I was trying several things I had found in the XDA forum and I opened the app store to unstall an app that I didnt need anymore. The app store opened to the settings page and there was the content filter, so for the heck of it I made sure that is was set to show all apps. I then tried to get some of the apps that I have not been able to see in the past and now it is working fine.....
