Hi everybody! (Everybody) "Hi Dr. NoX!"

I finally got out for the long weekend and got to put my X10 and the Panorama Beta App through it's paces.
Wow! It's got great potential and if the "Vertical Banding" issue can be resolved, I would pay for the app! Whooops Shhhhhhhh
Anyhow, I was really impressed with the clarity of the main subject (Mountains) in my shots, but the "Vertical Banding" issue as I call it becomes far more obvious when looking at the sky. Closer subjects (Trees in other shots not shown here.)tended to not experience "Vertical Banding" as much.

I took many shots from the same places and times of day with a semi high end Canon camera that has 12X Optical zoom. The Canon is better for zooming of course, but it is as large and bulky as traditional SLR cameras Other than that, the X10 performed close to the Canon in Full Auto mode.

I hope the final release of this app has more fluidity and no "Vertical Banding". That would earn it ★★★★★ instead of 4.5
Overall, I am liking it and I did squeeze off a few great shots with nearly un-noticable "VB".

The location of the shots is near my hometown of Calgary, Alberta and in an area that allows for random free camping. There are no facilities at all and we practice no trace camping and always use existing firering areas. Some people travel from around the world and spend piles of money to ride on buses and stay in hotels and not see or enjoy nearly as much as I do for free I pay far less for my cold Beer than they do too... Yup, life is good

Very nice pics, not sure if it's the custom ROM I run but my phone takes such terrible pictures I hardly use it anymore?

Sorry fella, photography isn't really my forte. Best I can do is appreciate great pictures which they are, moreover the scenery its more breathtaking to me than the actual picture. Wish we had scenery like that in the UK, okay so we do have the likes of the Peak District and Scotland which do have some beautiful scenery but nothing like that.
