Google Maps - Navigation

Hi, first post here.

Been using google maps since i first got phone, but the new update for it has been great. Tried the navigation app instead of my tomtom. Found it to be very accurate and gave all the information i needed, every turn, every street name.

Highly recommended, and the main thing is its free!!

Hi Another Newby here,
Does the Google maps you have been using have to be online all the time or can it be used offline please? I only ask because when I try to use Maps on my phone I can see the arrow for my location but when I want to get directions to an end point it just keeps saying "getting driving directions" and doesn't find it until I go online. I am new to both the X10i and the Android OS I have been a Nokia user for years and I am very used to the Symbain S60 OS. So it seems to be taking me ages to pick it up. Thank you in advance.

Google maps needs connection to the internet, that's why google maps kinda suxs...

use offline GPS software instead, like CoPilot Live

I have tried Co-Pilot as promted. I have another post going on in ofline gps that you replied to. If you could please read it and any help you can offer would be very gratefully recieved.

When I used to go on google my phone used to locate where I am, however since I did a master reset it now just says 'my location: using gps'

I've tried changing all the location settings but still thr same. Any ideas?
