x10 wirless/3g help

hi all, the x10 is the 1st smart phone i have owned, but i have a question ?

if im in the house and connected to the wirelss network, i have the wireless symbol at the top of the screen, if i go outside, the wireless is replaced by 3g or edge, and if i come back inside within range of wireless it swaps back again, my question is, when im inside should i have both at the top, or is it always one or the other.

I have both symbols when connected to a wireless network and 3G is also available.

I have the same as dunholm, both symbols appear. I turn off Wi-Fi when leaving the hours to avoid battery drainage though!

hmmmmmm something strange happening hehehehe joke!!!!!

thats because you are connecting to the internet if you out of range of WIFI it replace on 3G network, it automatic switch on how or you have available connection ... it happen also on my windows mobile & also with android...
