X10 MINI PRO OPENING APPS ON ITS OWN

Postby buddy1983 » Mon Aug 02, 2010 9:30 am

Hi
My Girlfriend has just brought the X10 mini pro and reading through post decided the best thing to do would be to download advanced task killer to shut down all open apps.
Since doing this we notice that everytime we go into the app killer there seems to be apps open we didnt click on or ever have done.
the main one which keeps saying it is running is "ROADSYNC". we have never pressed this and my girlfriend is worried there is something wrong with her phone.
can some one please give us some advice? Is the phone faulty or is it just the app we downloaded?
thanks in advance

Why don't you turn off the 3g?? That's what I did. You can turn it on only when you want to use it.

Install this app it will help you.

If the web browser is visable in a task manager it's because the phone or another app has activated it, it's only open in the background. You won't be charged unless you open it and open a webpage, your service provider will charge you for uploading and downloading which includes opening internet pages, downloading apps, downloading music and receiving emails etc.
The phone cannot open webpages by itself!

If you do want to turn off 3G, press the far left "menu" key, "settings", "wireless controls", "mobile networks" and untick "MMS & data".
There are apps available to shortcut all those button presses as I believe angelina_x linked for you.

Also just so you know these menu's are very un-Sony and very much Andriod, I owned three SonyEricsson phones before this one and the menu's etc are very different. Don't worry it doesn't take long to learn.
