Remove UXP and Replace With Normal Android ?

Hi All, maybe a stupid question but its it possible to remove UXP and install a normal version of Android 2.1 or 2.2 without UXP ???

Or would it be messed up ? Camera drivers/fuctions etc...

UXP looks good but bit over the top for me, too much going on... Timescape & Mediascape etc...
