Who is going/gone Nordic for 2.1?

Well, I rather wait than going to Nordic firmware just for getting 2.1 first.

When debranding worked fine SE didn't like it and eventually they went on to block it. May be some legal things involved, otherwise they wouldn't need to do something like this, I guess. SE here hinted that the firmware would be available in first week of November. So I prefer to wait rather than flashing with wrong firmware .

After all, I've been waiting since April and couple of weeks will do no harm either

LOL we who debrand does not care the region restrictions, and thus pray that we will get the same updates at the same time as those in the region that we rebranded to. of course, we hope the firmware updates maintain at firmware checking level. if it goes any deeper, well.. xda-developers will erupt. definitely. se's gonna get more flame, if they delayed one entire month to put in unnecessary security, i.e. region restriction.

Hey guys! I am thinking about going nordic so i have few questions first, just to be sure I have r2ba026 firmware but i am branded to t-mobile here in croatia... Do i just have to debrand or change firmware to nordic r2ba026? Also, what is the difference between nordic and "normal" r2ba026, if there is any difference?

nordic is just the region coding. look at xda-dev forums under x10 android dev for a quick way to get to nordic without flashing.

Given up and debranded and updated my phone to v2.1 yesterday !

Now started to face issue with the contacts. I had backed up everything before I debranded, so when I try to restore contacts nothing shows up in the contacts. I tried to create a new one and tried to delete that, I can see all the contacts appear there! Strange.

Does anyone out there face this problem? Know any reason / solution? I'm starting to freak out

I have a generic x10 mini, which was bought from hong kong. Will changing it to "nordic" region change anything specifically on my phone, like will it all be the same just with an updated 2.1 android right??

I did backup using the MyBackup Pro as well. I tried to restore both, but the behavior is the same.

I found one something funny is that, when I try to create a contact, then I go to delete, I can see all my contacts appear (the screen to delete) and they are listed as Google contact instead of phone contact. Some are joined contact. I don't know what crap this is, which is now messing up my contacts.

Anyone out there facing this problem?

I did a Nordic flash to my Indian x10i & got the 2.1 by SEUS.I could not wait more. So, i took the initiative sooner.
