I found one something funny is that, when I try to create a contact, then I go to delete, I can see all my contacts appear (the screen to delete) and they are listed as Google contact instead of phone contact. Some are joined contact. I don't know what crap this is, which is now messing up my contacts.
Anyone out there facing this problem?

joined contacts is the work of the social phonebook. this is why i don't use so many contact managers. i just use google's. worked wonders for me. i have NO issues whatsoever with contact management. very neat, very clean, very efficient, and i won't lose my contacts to a phone crash or whatever
you might wanna start hopping onto google sync

once you gone 2.1 you can't go back to 1.6...
prathaban wrote:Now I'm really trying to figure out how do I go back to Singapore firmware (be it v1.6 or v2.1).
Any advice is appreciated. Thank you.

like what you said, you can. either you edit the /system/build.prop file (not sure if this method works), someone can try and let us know.
or you can use flash tools, load up a singapore 1.6 firmware, and flash it. this method definitely works. i've tried it.

I can confirm editing the build.prop file worked fine with my x10i and as of yet I see no issues with the phone (didn't have any issues with Android Market or lag at all) Would definatley recommend backing up the phone after rooting and before updating. Back up pro is what I used after root as it then backs up all the apks and settings. Angry Birds now works
