2.1 Update... Based on What??

I bought the X10 from Germany and now I live in Saudi Arabia.

So, if i want to Update My X10
on which Generic update im going to update my x10
Germany or Saudi Arabia ??

I don't know the update based on what exactly, is it on IMEI or the place that im doing the update from or god knows what..... confusing

check the country number of your phone by accessing the service menu

b: back (right most button)

since you bought it in germany, the country may say germany, customised (if you bought it off the shelf, not from an operator). so you will follow the germany firmware.
if your country says netherlands, or whatever, then it'll be that country's firmware.

they track it by the customer fingerprint, which is a 8 character string, accessible only if you have root.

yeap you're correct so do a check on google, see if there are any predictions or announcements as to when germany will get it

if you're sick of waiting, you can rebrand to another region which already has 2.1, then change the customer fingerprint back to germany after rooting

i am not familiar with the rooting thingy ,
so i think i'm gonna be on 1.6 until they announce the upcoming update
