Upgrade to 2.1?

This might be a dumb question but here goes...

Tonight I bought my Xperia X10a and have been messing around with it for awhile. I noticed in the about phone section that it says my firmware version is 1.6. As far as i understand it should be at 2.1right? I tried the update software on both PC companion and straight off the phone itself but it says i have the latest software. This is my first phone that uses the Android operating system so i cannot tell if it is just not showing the right information and I am on 2.1 or if i really still need to update. Any help is appreciated

when i updated to 2.1 from 1.6 the about phone section changed as well, it now read firmware version: 2.1 update 1.
on this basis i would say your phone still needs the update installing, though i may be wrong and i'm sure someone will correct me.

X10a? USA/South America/Canada?

Not sure if the update is available in your region, maybe somebody from your region could advise?

Yes I have the x10a and yes I live in the USA. I guess this could be why?

Try using SEUS. It worked for me.

Tried downloading SEUS and running it last night, just says that my phone software is up to date. Also im on AT&T if this makes any difference.

Check out XDA Developers forum, pretty sure there's some threads on there about the lack of SE support for AT&T customers.
