Sent how?

Pictures sent via MMS will be smaller and of a lower quality because of the file size restrictions of MMS.
Try email or Bluetooth?

Unlikely if it's from being sent via MMS, remember the screen is larger on an X10i compared to most non smart phones so the quality will look worse.
Also some of this could be down to your service provider, check what sizes files can be sent via MMS and compare to others.
