Make a second comparison buddy, Im pretty sure de HD Video of Xperia X10 is a way better than the iPhone 4's, and I've saw this with my own eyes too.

Do you have Eclair in your Xperia, right?
I've using Linux over 6 years by now, but I never image before that I could have its power on my hand. Android made that possible.

Xperia X10a Sensuous Black rooted.
Running Android Eclair 2.1

I can tell you the only three good things the iPhone has are: 1-multitouch. 2-16M in color combined with Retina display. 3-Er...

Sorry, I missed the third one XD

Seriously, iPhone 4 is NOT the greatest thing in the world. When I was about to get my smartphone I could get it, but I decided not to do it 'cause Apple sucks now (they were kinda good 5 years ago, I even had a PowerBook), but now is like a second Microsoft and there are many reasons why, but I won't discuss that here  . I decided to get the Xperia X10 and I don't have any regrets about my choice, even with the bad new that It won't get Froyo (and I don't love SE, but I DO love my Xperia).

Besides that, iPhone 4 has a lot of problems. And Jailbreak doesn't work (as far as I know) in the recent update.
The real phone I could say that sweeps the floor with Xperia X10, iPhone 4 and even the 'famous' (lol) new Xperia Arc together is this: http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN ... TRIX-US-EN
I'd really envy whoever has it XD

Now, the video: try to play a little bit with the different scenes and turn on the Led flash when the place when you'll record is not well 'lighted', the Led flash is not necessary for the night only.

The only way I have been able to capture motion well is by using the Sport mode. All other modes blur quite a bit. However, Sport mode produces darker video so good lighting is important.

I suggest you Google "metering" and "white balance" (also called color balance) and learn the basics. There aren't a great many settings to play with but these two are important. I think they're only adjustible in Normal mode though.

Sadly I haven't been able to find good settings for low light. I'm using X10i, Android 2.3, nothing unofficial, stock camera.

Also, check this out for how to shoot macro video:
