xperia x10 safe mode

I just found out that there is a safe mode when booting the x10i.
I'm wondering what can i do with it, what does it give me?

Its a similar concept to winsows safe mode, the phone seems to boot up as normal but only boots up the required aspects of the phone.

How do you boot the phone in safe mode ?

I'd like to know this too. Think i could have bricked my phone while i was trying to update the firmware

Turn on the phone and when it vibrate press and hold the menu button.

Thanks for all your help. I returned the phone and got another. Now I know how good the phone actually is.
Still need to update this one though, so don't go too far

lol good luck and make sure your battery is above 50% as lower than this can brick your phone which unfortunately happened to me yesterday and was up all night trying to reflash it
