Competition: Win an Alu Leather Case for your Xperia X10

Alu Leather CaseThe mood has been down in these parts over the last week or so, ever since we found out that Sony Ericsson was no longer updating the Xperia X10 Android version. However, thanks to our friends over at MobileFun, we can brighten the mood up with a competition.

They sent over an Alu Leather Case that is one of the nicest cases on the market for the X10 and normally retails for ยฃ20. To enter the competition all you have to do is leave a comment below. We will pick a winner randomly when the competition closes at midnight (GMT) on Friday 21st January 2011. Good luck!

  28. I feel x10-mini is better than iPhone4… seriously.. direct in competition. The UI, the ease of access, speed, touch.. everything rocks!!
    The most important thing is its open (Android) ๐Ÿ™‚ . Hence its better than iphone !!

  67. Actually, after Sony Ericsson has stopped upgrading the X10, this gives the developers a way to circumvent the security features to the existing boot loader without any worries of future updates fixing it.
    Thus, it will ultimately mean more future updates from XDA developers and other developers in the future for this phone!

  176. Still hoping to get some android updates on the X10 even now when SE said they won’t release any updates further. But they have the firmware’s for the Arc and the S.E.X. Play so why they can’t make it for the X10?

  233. Great looking case, pitty that SE did not deliver one… Question, does anyone know where you can buy MS430 speakerset??? It took me 6 months 2 find a Belgian company that could sell me a MW600 headset. SE did not even bother 2 answer my search quest… This alu-case would fit perfectly my X10, which is still my precious !!!

  258. sony can upgrade the arc to 3.0 ,and also upgrade the x10 to 2.3,
    I dont think that will hit them so hard,just install the arc os. to xperia x10.
    I think that will make everybody happy and keep going.

  271. I too like many have been hugely frustrated by the slow updates for the X10 but the 2.1 update has totally transformed a muchly underperforming ‘smart’ phone. It makes it bearable until I upgrade to another phone which will more than likely be an HTC.
    SE, you’ve lost another customer, shame on you.

  322. Not all hope is lost yet – wait for SE to finish the Android 2.3 Gingerbread for the Xperia Arc. Hardware and specs of Arc and X10 are almost identical. Then someone clever from XDA Developers can do the necessary rooting and adjustments and port Gingerbread to X10. Then we X10 owners will have, what we should have had from the beginning!

  360. X10 is a lame phone. I upgraded to a HTC Glacier and it’s MUCH faster. I want the case for my wife though ๐Ÿ˜›

  362. I was going to upgrade to the XPERIA X10 next month and now its reaching EOL? Wow, they dont release these new handsets for long anymore do they? What happens to the poor cutomers who want accessories in about a years time when it’ll be a forgotten about handset??? Im still thinking of getting one though. It looks a like a nice phone either way.

  420. Well, I love your blog, been here since I got my X10, and I even follow the Xperiablog too. Twitter etc. Great site, following the rules of KISS. That’s why I can keep coming back unlike some others which are so cluttered with ads to maximize revenue.

  432. Being a loyal Sony ericsson customer/fan for a long long time..since the T68i times..T310, S700, W810, P990, W710, W580, P1i, C702 which I still continue to own, up until my latest phone Xperia X10!!!… This case would be nice..,for keeps sake!!

  457. First mobile I had was Nokia, used for 3 months and my uncle presented candy bar sony erricson phone. I used that till I get a job for 5 years, then to k700i model, k750i for my hubby.
    I love sony erricson mobiles, they are good for the purpose what they are ๏Š
